It is true that any religion is better than no religion for an individual trying to win at the game of life presented by the urban jungle, but this benefit coexists within the larger picture of exploitation.

In a vineyard, each vine is nurtured and protected with loving care by the vigneron, but the objective of the vigneron is to pluck the grapes. On a ranch, the cattleman similarly nurtures, feeds, and protects his stock from disease and (other) predators, but the objective is to slaughter them for beef. In the same way, each of the world religions has nurtured the well being of a king's subjects while enabling the exploitation of those subjects by the king.
