Young people do not trust old people, for good reason.

The ancient jungle of our ancestors was a place of violence, chaos, and predation. There was no right and wrong and no moral rules and only one rule: Eat or be eaten. Our ancestors discovered that joining together in community enabled them to survive and prosper in the jungle. In these tribal villages, our ancestors enjoyed peace and order, and roles and rules developed. Within those villages, the adults nurtured the children, and the elders guided the adults. That continues to be the formula for success in human life. The problem is that young people today do not live in villages. Today's cities are urban jungles, and everyone, including elders, is a predator.
