For millenia, each of the world's major religions has functioned to teach a "way of life" that superimposed a small scale private social order (individual behavior) upon a larger, empire-scale public order imposed by police and military power.

Each such religion is therefore best viewed as an instrument of a king or emperor that serves to prosper that king or emperor. A kingdom is not a coalition formed by persons in a jungle to prosper the common good. In the terms used in other teachings on IDEFARM.COM, a kingdom is an "evil coalition" that creates an artificial jungle within which other persons are like vines to be plucked, or cattle to be slaughtered. Viewed in this way, today's major religions function, not to empower and prosper The People, but to enslave and exploit them.
