Incentives and trust:
I want you to become my student, and you will want to know that I am worthy of trust.
An economist approaches such "wants" by creating incentives.
To get as many people as possible to decide to be my student, I have worked, and will continue to work, very hard to create a compelling incentive for you to do so.
Ditto for trust.
As you read, focus on incentives by keeping these questions in mind:
- Has Wo'O Ideafarm expended a lot of time, effort, and money to create the IDEAFARM.COM website and the California corporation that he has organized?
- Has Wo'O Ideafarm made himself accountable for his actions?
- Will he make more money by being a scoundrel or by delivering on his promises?
- What do I have to gain by studying his teachings and becoming his student, even if his teachings turn out to be wrong?
- What do I have to lose by not doing so, if his teachings turn out to be right?
