Installation and access instructions:


For zero-trust installation and access, use only the Windows 11 guest virtual machine.

  1. Move the ".zip" file into a new, empty folder, and unzip its contents into that same folder.

  2. Verify that the ".ipdos-we" file is really from IDEAFARM.COM.

    1. Click the Windows search icon (a magnifying glass) at the lower left, on the taskbar, and search for "Command Prompt".
    2. When you see "Command Prompt", click it.
    3. When the new window appears, paste into it:            certutil            -hashfile            some.file.name            SHA256
    4. Before pressing the Enter key, replace "some.file.name" with the file name, and then press and release the Enter key.
    5. Copy the value that certutil displays to the clipboard by double clicking on it and then pressing and releasing the Enter key.
    6. Paste that value into this box: . The hash value to validate is:
    7. Click to validate: []
    8. If no page is displayed, or if the page does not begin with "ACCEPTED", then the IDEAFARM.COM does not recognize the file, so DO NOT OPEN OR RUN ANY OF THE FILES; instead, request assistance by emailing us.

  3. Open the file named like "ideanet.key.[number].bat" and then read the text that is displayed.

  4. When prompted, type "ok" (without quotes) and then press and release the Enter key.

  5. If you have unlimited data privileges (no metering), then type "f" (without quotes) and then press and release the Enter key.

  6. Type "b" (without quotes) and then press and release the Enter key.

  7. Verify that "Synchronizing..." is displayed, followed by symbols indicating connections being attempted, possibly enclosing numeric error codes.

  8. Click this sentence if, within about 10 seconds, your default browser does not open and, in a new tab, display the landing page for IdeaNet (tm) Books by IdeaFarm (tm).

    1. If the program dies, check the root folder of drive C: for a plain text file named "log.exception.txt" and, if you find such a file, please email it to us.
    2. If the symbol pairs stop appearing approximately every second, please report that to us via email.
    3. If numeric error codes continue to appear, verify that you have IPv6 connectivity and, if so, please email the error code values to us.
