Good and evil are creatures of the village and are undefined in the jungle.

In the jungle, for an individual and for a village, there is no such thing as Good or Evil. For an individual, there is only eat and, eventually, be eaten. For a village, there is only the use of force to hold land, game, and potable water, which can be done, and eventually, cannot be done. In the jungle, the ideas of Good and Evil would not occur to any individual, and if they did, those ideas would have no application.

Within a village, the concepts of Good and Evil can play a part in the "way of life" of the village, but do not operate outside of the village myth. Good and Evil can apply to individuals who do, or do not, perform their roles faithfully, to the village and to neighboring villages (we are good, they are evil), and to the spirits and gods who control whether game is plentiful and who becomes sick. Used in this way, these concepts merely serve to partition the "world" into friends and foes. The concept of "Good and Evil" is defined by the myth (world view) of each village, and exists within that myth because it prospers the village.
